About the role
Futurice has just completed a multi-year transformation of its operational systems landscape. As we transition from project mode to a steady-state operating capability, we are looking for a senior leader to take full ownership of our platform.
As an AI and Data first business, we expect our Operations function to lead by example. As the Head of Business Applications, you will make Futurice operate as an AI-native company internally using automation and agentic AI to remove friction, surface real-time insights, and allow us to operate at a higher velocity than our size alone would suggest.
You actively use AI tools in your daily work and know how to apply them to business operations pragmatically. You have a bias for velocity and prefer agile, frequent improvements over "big-bang" programs, balancing speed with quality and cost. We hope that you translate effortlessly between business stakeholders, architects, and external partners, even when making decisions with imperfect information. In addition, you are commercially driven and view licensing and vendor relationships as strategic levers, not administrative tasks.
You bring a senior leadership perspective and your mission and first-year priorities would be to establish the operating model and define governance, intake processes, and vendor management to move us cleanly into a sustainable "run-and-evolve" mode. You translate platform investments into measurable business outcomes like improved sales velocity, staffing utilization, and project margin visibility. Additionally, you make Operations AI-native by building a portfolio of AI use cases (e.g., Agentforce, Claude-style assistants) that reduce manual work and put insights directly into the hands of our leadership.
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location: One of our offices in Helsinki, Stockholm, or Munich (hybrid). Occasional travel to other Futurice locations. Please kindly note that, at this time, we are unable to offer relocation opportunities, or we will need to be highly selective in considering such requests.
Key Responsibilities
In this position you
Take end-to-end accountability for Salesforce, Certinia, and NetSuite (operational). You’ll own the roadmap, architecture, and budget while balancing technical debt with business growth.
Lead governance forums to prioritize demand across sales, finance, and delivery. You’ll act as a strategic translator between technical trade-offs and executive goals.
Lead and grow the in-house team while executing a "make-or-buy" strategy for external partners and managed services.
Drive the internal AI agenda (e.g. Agentforce and Claude-style assistants) to automate workflows and shorten cycle times. You also establish AI governance and champion self-service analytics.
Partner with IT to ensure secure APIs and strict adherence to GDPR, ISO27001, and TISAX standards.
Track business KPIs (utilization, margin visibility) to demonstrate platform ROI and drive continuous improvement in agility and UX.
What helps you succeed in this role
5–10+ years experience in Business Tech/Operations, including "Head of" or Lead roles within professional services or consulting.
Deep and hands-on platform expertise and credibility in Salesforce and Certinia (FinancialForce), with a clear understanding of the Sales-to-Invoicing lifecycle.
An AI-First Mindset: A proven track record of deploying AI features (Einstein, Agentforce, LLMs) and agentic workflows to drive operational efficiency.
Experience managing SaaS portfolios post-implementation, including vendor licensing, roadmap ownership, and executive-level prioritization.
Collaborative Leadership skills and ability to lead expert teams and manage outsourced partners effectively across a multi-region environment.
Professional fluency in English. Additionally Finnish, Swedish, or German skills are a plus.
Nice to have
Experience in leading the transition from a major implementation project to a steady-state "run" function.
Exposure to data and analytics tooling (CRM Analytics, Power BI, Tableau) and AI-assisted self-service analytics.
