About the role
The Finance Business Controller serves as an operational and financial partner to the Regional Leadership, ensuring sound business management and driving operational excellence. The role acts as a strategic co-pilot to the Regional Managing Director, providing the performance data, delivery analysis, and insights required to support profitable growth and efficient execution.
This position is the bridge between the global finance function and regional business and delivery operations. The Finance Business Controller is responsible for translating performance metrics and financial data into actionable operational recommendations, translating strategic goals into clear targets, providing forward-looking capacity analysis, and reviewing business health to support proactive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
In this position you will:
Partner with the Regional Managing Director and regional leadership team to drive operational excellence, providing proactive business intelligence, decision support, and strategic advice to optimize regional performance.
Conduct operational and capacity scenario modeling to simulate the impact of delivery decisions, resource constraints, and market changes, translating data into clear, actionable operational insights.
Analyze and monitor end-to-end performance metrics (KPIs), focusing heavily on resource utilization, delivery efficiency, project profitability, and sales pipeline alignment.
Co-lead monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBR/QBR) with the Regional Managing Director, presenting the operational narrative, tracking progress against strategic targets, and driving organizational accountability.
Partner with sales and delivery teams to ensure the commercial viability, correct resourcing, and structural scalability of new client engagements and delivery models.
Steer the regional operational forecasting and headcount planning processes, ensuring capacity aligns perfectly with the sales pipeline and group-level growth objectives.
Bridge the gap between strategy and execution by preparing insightful operational reports and variance analyses for regional leadership and global stakeholders.
Collaborate with regional functions to ensure that core business processes (from sales handover to delivery and invoicing) run smoothly, are commercially sound, and support efficient cash flow.
Champion the implementation and continuous improvement of standardized global operational and financial processes (e.g., quote-to-cash, capacity-to-resource allocation, and project lifecycle management) and core tools (e.g., Salesforce, Certinia).
Drive operational efficiency and digital transformation across the region, leading automation and AI initiatives to streamline delivery, reduce administrative overhead, and improve ways of working.
Ensure operational compliance and risk management across all regional engagements, balancing commercial agility with local regulations and group policies.
