We are looking for a New Ventures Lead to turn Futurice’s new and emerging offerings into real, scalable revenue, and this across borders.
This is a senior commercial role for someone who knows how to take something new to market before everything is perfectly packaged - testing it with clients, learning fast, shaping the proposition and ultimately turning it into a signed business.
Most consulting firms treat innovation as a project. In this role at Futurice, you get to build assets and ventures that become real business - using client access, deep design, and engineering capability, and the freedom to share a new revenue engine.
About the role
Futurice is evolving from predominantly time-and-materials consulting towards more asset-led, AI-enabled and scalable offerings.
We already have strong technology and design capabilities, trusted client relationships and several initiatives in development, including Futurice Assemble, Agentic Strategy Engine and Agentic SDLC.
Now we need someone whose primary responsibility is to make sure these and future propositions become commercial businesses. That includes spotting where consulting, AI and digital services are creating entirely new opportunities, not only scaling what is already in motion.
You will take new propositions to real clients while they are still being shaped. What you learn from those conversations will influence the offer itself: the buyer, value proposition, pricing, packaging and commercial model.
You will work across several initiatives and regions simultaneously. Speed, experimentation and the ability to learn and adapt quickly are essential.
You will work closely with the leaders of our individual initiatives, Regional Managing Directors, Marketing & Sales professionals, Domain Heads, Business Directors and Principals, consultants across client projects, and many other stakeholders. Initiative leads own what gets built. You own whether it sells, to whom and at what price.
That requires enough product and technology understanding to actively shape what we build - rather than waiting for someone else to translate technology into a commercial proposition.
Regional Managing Directors continue to own their regional revenue and P&L. This is therefore not a regional sales leadership role, a service line leadership role or a strategy position.
Your success will ultimately be measured by one thing: new business won with new propositions.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will:
Identify where consulting, AI and digital services are creating new opportunities, and develop venture theses you validate quickly with clients and prospects.
Turn internal expertise into sellable assets - software, data products, AI agents, playbooks, platforms or managed offerings.
Own the virtual P&L for new and asset-led offerings and report against it.
Lead the incubation, commercial and scaling side of our accelerator initiatives: what we sell, to whom, at what price - and when we stop investing in something that is not working.
Take new offers into live client conversations early, before they are fully developed, and build a client prospect pipeline from day one - not after the product is finished.
Prototype commercially: test rough propositions with real clients, learn quickly, and reshape or stop what does not resonate.
Design pricing, packaging and deal structures across fixed-price, subscription, licence, metered and outcome-linked models.
Form cross-functional venture teams - drawing on strategy, design, technology and sales - as offers move from thesis to traction.
Win and lead selected cross-border and global accounts.
Get at least one region to actively commit to selling each proven offer, and enable local sellers to succeed with it.
Strengthen consultant-led selling across Futurice.
Own commercial governance for new offerings, including go-to-market decisions and pricing sign-off.
Work with Group Marketing early so that the right buyers hear about new offerings while they are still new and relevant.
Know when to scale, spin out, partner or hand over a venture once it has proven itself.
What we hope you bring
You may have built your career as a commercial leader or senior business development leader - an entrepreneurial commercial builder, not only an innovation facilitator. The title matters less than the evidence of what you have built.
We are particularly interested in experience such as:
Senior commercial responsibility where you have personally carried a meaningful revenue target.
A track record of creating revenue from new offerings, rather than only growing an established portfolio - you have built, launched, sold or scaled B2B digital products or services.
Strong enough product and technology understanding to work directly with engineers and product teams, understand what is being built and help turn it into something clients will buy.
A bias towards speed over polish. You would rather test a credible but unfinished proposition with a client next week than spend a quarter perfecting it internally.
Strong command of pricing, packaging, commercial models, deal structures and forecasting.
Experience selling non-T&M models in a services environment, such as asset-led services, subscriptions, platforms, licences or outcome-based engagements.
Experience opening new markets, client segments, buyer groups or geographies yourself.
The ability to sell propositions that clients cannot yet easily name or place into an existing category.
Enough understanding of AI and its business implications to have a credible conversation with a CIO - and enough judgement to distinguish strong AI-enabled work from weak.
The ability to write proposals that get read and hold commercial conversations at C-level.
An understanding of the differences between markets such as the Nordics, DACH and the UK, and the ability to work effectively with Regional Managing Directors without owning their P&Ls.
Strong written and spoken English.
You will probably not match every point above. We would rather hear specifically what you have built, sold and learned than receive a perfect-looking checklist.
What success looks like
You will know you are succeeding when:
New offerings are winning paying clients and the virtual P&L is growing.
You are moving 2-3 ideas a year from thesis to validated customer demand, with paid pilots established early.
Non-T&M and asset-led revenue becomes a meaningful and increasing share of Futurice’s business, built on assets clients can use independently of continued consulting hours.
Our accelerator teams increasingly build what clients have demonstrated they will pay for - rather than what we simply find interesting.
Proven offerings are actively sold by our regions without constant central pushing.
Pricing and commercial decisions move quickly instead of getting stuck between Group and regional organisations.
We have learned which new business models can genuinely scale - and stopped investing in the ones that cannot.
What Futurice offers you
At Futurice, you will find strong client relationships, deep technology and design expertise, and a culture built around trust, curiosity and ownership.
This is a new role, and you will have significant influence over how it develops.
It exists because we believe our commercial model needs to evolve - and because we want to drive that evolution through real client demand and real sales, not another internal strategy exercise.
You will have substantial freedom to shape how we package, price, test and commercialise what comes next.
Depending on your location, our benefits may include a hybrid working model, extensive learning opportunities, health and wellbeing benefits, local employee benefits, professional communities, events and a thorough onboarding programme.
Next steps
If this sounds like an opportunity you would like to explore, we would love to hear from you.

What it’s like to work here
